When you submit a startup, request a boosted pin, or book an ad slot on Hyderabad Startup Map, we collect the information you provide directly: company name, website, description, sectors, founded year, team size, investors, office location/address, founder or team member names and LinkedIn URLs (if added), your own name and email (as the point of contact for follow-up), and any reviewer notes you add. If you pay for a boost or ad slot, we collect a payment reference and, for manual UPI payments, a screenshot to verify the transaction — we do not process or store card, UPI, or bank credentials ourselves; card/UPI checkout runs through Razorpay directly, and we never see or hold your payment instrument details.
We also automatically collect basic technical information needed to operate the site — such as which pages are viewed and coarse, anonymized usage counts — via Umami analytics (see “Third-party services” below). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising, and we do not build cross-site advertising profiles.
Submitted details are used to review, place, and display a startup's public profile and map pin, and to process and verify boost/ad payments. Reviewer notes are internal only and never shown publicly. Your email is used solely to follow up on your submission, boost, or ad request (including status updates, payment confirmation, and — where you've provided it — reminders before a paid placement expires) — we do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Once a submission is approved, the company details you provided — name, description, website, sectors, stage, founded year, team size, investors, founder/team names and any LinkedIn links, office location, and open-jobs link — are shown publicly on the startup's map pin and profile page. You can mark individual sections as hidden when submitting or editing, and your own name/email as a point of contact are never shown publicly — only used internally to reach you.
Startup profile pages may embed a Google Maps view of an office location, subject to Google's own privacy policy. Basic, anonymized page-view analytics are collected via Umami, which does not use cookies or track individuals across sites. Payments are processed by Razorpay, subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy; we receive only a payment/order reference, not your card or bank details. Company logos are fetched automatically from the company's own website favicon unless a logo URL is provided.
We retain listing and contact information for as long as a listing remains active or under review, and for a reasonable period afterward to handle disputes, corrections, or re-submissions. Payment proof screenshots and payment references are retained for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see “Your choices” below).
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the information you provide, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled admin tooling. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you provide information at your own risk.
Hyderabad Startup Map is intended for business use by founders, operators, and professionals, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
You can ask us to access, correct, or remove a listing, or delete data you submitted, at any time — see the contact details on any startup profile, or reach out via the submission form. We'll action reasonable requests within a few days.
We may update this policy as the site's features change. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
